Abstract

The proposal for a comprehensive approach to loss and grief within the school setting presented here stems from a request made by the educational community of School No. 622 “Raúl Salustiano Nosiglia” in Apóstoles, Misiones.

The need to implement a workshop on grief and loss arose as an institutional response, given that the community had been deeply affected by the deaths of teachers, students, and family members at various points in the history of both the organization and the community itself.

Consequently, two initiatives were carried out: a workshop in 2025 and a training course in 2026. These topics were addressed from a socio-anthropological perspective, with the participation of teachers from diverse educational modalities, subject areas, and levels. This outreach initiative fostered a dialogue between the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the National University of Misiones and various organizations within the provincial education sector.
