He cooperation agreement signed between the State — through the Under-secretary of Circular Economy of the Ministry of Climate Change— and the University —represented by the Faculty of Engineering of Oberá at the University of Misiones— is aimed at generating systematic evidence on the main limitations and challenges of the waste-management system and circular economy practices.
Its overarching purpose is to contribute to the comprehensive improvement of this system by identifying critical issues, reducing waste generation, promoting recycling and reuse practices, and modeling the current operational framework. These actions are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and with the territorial implementation guidelines of the 2030 Agenda promoted by the Conference of the Parties (COP21). The objective of this study is to analyze the cooperation experience between the parties involved (government and academia) in order to generate evidence on waste management and circular economy practices in the municipalities of Misiones.
