Keywords:
Youth, Civic Participation, Human RightsAbstract
Youth are key agents of change in democratic life and in the promotion of Human Rights, with the capacity to influence the construction of a more just, equitable, and inclusive society. Their participation and incorporation into the public and political spheres allows for the promotion and establishment of intergenerational dialogue, strengthening the recognition and role of youth as subjects of rights, and consolidating a more democratic and participatory life.
This paper aims to analyze the role of youth as agents of change, drawing on the experiences of workshops developed within the Extension Project "The Civic Participation of Young Adults within the Framework of '40 Years of Democracy'" (Res. HCD. FHyCS No. 132/23). The objective is to understand and discuss the scope and challenges of youth participation, both in education and other spheres, as well as its potential to strengthen their civic activity and the construction of a democratic culture.
